LAN Elite Package - delivery fiasco

    Ive heard various reports of the Elite Package taking for ever to get to you after you qualify. I made lowly Premium level about 5 weeks ago, so today I called the infamout LAN 0800 number and told them they owe me my new bragging rights card. I was put in Purgatory for about 12 minutes....

    Turns out they had sent nothing out..... agent asked me to give him a postal address, input it into the system, and promised to get it to me in 10-15 days at the most.... (yeah right)... [​IMG]

    Lets wait and see... I will keep you all posted.

    Mine took seven (yes, SEVEN) months to arrive.

    Well.... Im guessing mine will take less than that, but still it wont be the 10-15 days the telephone agent told me....

    I have five different emails in which they told me it would be 15 days. When my package didn't show up after two months I started emailing them once a month, and that was the standard email response I received. I don's want to disillusion you, but that was my experience. :(

    After every Atención Premium reply I waited exactly the amount of time specified and then emailed again. Here's the body of the last email I sent that got a very fast response:

    Estimado/a:

    Ya han pasado más que los 15 días indicados en el último correo (pegado abajo), más que SEIS MESES desde el inicio de año "elite," y sigo sin resolución a un reclamo bastante sencillo. La credencial y los luggage tags no son tan importantes, pero la falta de buen servicio ya es obvio y decepcionante. Mi primer correo a Uds. fue enviado el 20 de mayo de 2011 - hace más de cuatro meses - con la primera respuesta de Uds. recibida el 9 de junio, y sigo en octubre sin resolución. Desde entonces, he enviado tres correos más y cumplido con todo lo que me pidieron de forma inmediata (enviar copia de mi RUT). Ya no es necesario enviar nada, que me cansé, pero me gustaría saber por qué Uds. no podían solucionar algo tan sencillo como enviar una credencial dentro de medio año. Es verdaderamente ridículo. No vale la pena tener un programa de beneficios si no intenten entregarlos. Me mantengo en el programa por Banco Santander; aunque he volado más de 70.000kms este año ya no utilizo LANPass sino otra aerolínea. Buen servicio es el mayor beneficio para clientes, y es uno que no se puede entregar LAN.

    I got my card and luggage tag in three days, but never a response to any of the points I mentioned

    Are you trying to get LAN off the hook...? Dont think so. The postal service here isnt as bad as they say... besides, LAN uses some correo privado so that ain no excuse.

    been on hold for 18 minutes with the LAN bozo service line........

    does anybody have a good email address where I can send in a complaint...????

    Perhaps you can put it in one of the libros de quejas at a plaza peaje :D I think this is the elite email elite@bo.lan.com Someone who is actually elite might be able to chime in.

    You really haven't received your card yet? I would get reclamando right away. You've missed almost three months of benefits that you can access only by presenting the physical card (restaurants and shops) - that's grounds for being very angry.

    Wow. This is beyond incompetent. I don't know what else can be done...if I think of anything I'll let you know, but for now I'd just be the squeaky wheel.
