    Kuala Lumpur/Bangkok/Hua Hin DO February 8-15, 2014

Hello Everyone. This is the first thread announcing a new DO with a limited number of spaces for the Hua Hin component- the highlight of a cold (at least for the US East Coast) winter--a trip to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, and Bangkok and Hua Hin, Thailand.

This DO is coordinated by Jenny and Andy Price, FT handle-- price123--Jenny and Andy have coordinated the following successful DOs--Hyatt Churchill London October 2012 and Abu Dhabi and Maldives which just happened in August 2013 (see the trip report and pictures here http://www.driven2travel.co.uk/auhmle.html).

Also in the works is another Hyatt Churchill London DO this October. Mr. Silver Springer and I both attended and very much enjoyed the Hyatt Churchill London October 2012 and the Abu Dhabi/Maldives 2013 DOs. These were great fun with a lot of extras--dinners, receptions, activities provided free as part of our group contract--and we enjoyed meeting and socializing with other FFs from around the world.

I offered to coordinate the information on Flyertalk for the KL/BKK/ Hua Hin February 2014 DO. As with other DOs, we will be staying at some outstanding Hyatt Hotels. Participation is this DO is open to anyone to attend for the Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok segments however there is a limitation for the Hyatt Hua Hin of only 12 rooms as February is high season at the resort, so if you are interested in staying at the Hyatt Hua Hin, make your reservations early. We actually stayed at both the Grand Hyatt Erawan in Bangkok and the Hyatt Hua Hin this past March as we won a 3 night stay in a club deluxe room in Hua Hin at the London Churchill Do. The GH Bangkok is a very nice hotel, newly remodeled, with a great lounge in a very central location in Bangkok. The Hyatt Hua Hin, about 3 hours drive south of Bangkok, is a fabulous resort on the Gulf of Thailand and I look forward to a return visit. I have never been to Kuala Lumpur and look forward to the upcoming trip. The rates and current itinerary follow. If the rates at the Hyatt Hua Hin seem a bit high, note that for the club and club deluxe rooms you get access to the beautiful outdoor club lounge with a great breakfast, non-alcoholic drinks during the day and a very generous happy hour with heavy canapés in the evening. Barai rooms at the Hyatt Hua Hin have access to the club lounge and a lot of other benefits as noted below. Interested? Leave a post in this thread or feel free to send a PM to price123

The GH KL's website for the DO is now open, allowing reservations at the group rate.
Please be aware of 14 night cancellation policy.

For Hua Hin reservations, please contact me directly (if you haven't already) with dates and room type and I will request bookings in batches (there isn't a code).

Bangkok booking code should be available soon.

Sorry to miss you Singapore Flyer.

By the way, as we already have Chinese visas, we are taking advantage of cheap AA fares to PVG, having a short stay there then getting reward flights PVG to KUL, KUL to BKK, and then BKK back to PVG for trip home. This also gives us a little over 16K EQM fto bgin EXP requalification for 2015.
