On regional flights now, you will find Krug is back up front accompanying Dom Perignon.
The only difference is that the Krug is in smaller bottle with a reason of not being wasted in a short flight. Yes, a half of the usual regular bottle.

PS: General_Flyer, now you can have Krug for your short flight SIN-CGK. :D

Krug is a very nice Champagne. Way to go SQ for ordering the splits- good way to ensure it doesn't go to waste.

Indeed, Krug is a nice one. But I heard that many fliers still prefer Dom. I think SQ loads more Krug on the flights to/from Paris.

I wish pax in the US were willing to pay enough for premium cabin service to allow us to enjoy these luxuries on a 3 hour flight.

Who would want to waste a bottle of Krug? :p I think I can finish a whole bottle on the 1.5 hours SIN-CGK run. I remember once on a BKK-SIN run, I'd had 3 glasses before pushback, surely that's half a bottle already :p

Glad to hear it! I'm booked in F for SIN-CGK in late-November and am looking forward to both the Krug and Dom Perignon.

You know that I prefer quenching my thirst with DOM over Krug. :D Picked DOM exclusively on my two flights last month. :p

I doubt it is loaded for CGK flights.:(

I think it was formerly loaded for longer flts like HKG, PVG and PEK.

However, owing to it's popularity and wastage, it was not loaded for a period of time before they re-introduced it with the half bottles that SQ LPP mentioned.

Good to see a change for the better, it's not always what we are used to in the airline world anymore.

Great, but what is this waste being talked of? I recall sharing a couple of (normal size) bottles with you on some CGK runs.

Yes, I remember those days! :D
But according to SQ, not many F pax like Krug, especially in the short haul Asia. Thus, a waste for having a full bottle. And occasionally, a pax like you or me taking those short segment and looking for Krug.

Wished they had already sold it in Krisshop when I was still PPS :( then I would have no difficulty to decide what to make use of the vouchers :)

Much easier choice for using the vouchers pre liquids restrictions :(

    Yup! That's the one!

The liquid restriction made sure that I will never be able to get one of those back to Portland unless risking running the gauntlet in my luggage..

From years of checking in liquids, I had never had any problem with any getting broken. :)
