Koreans favour Emirates Airlines for proven safety

    Emirates Airlines, which launched daily non-stop service between Dubai and Incheon May 1, 2005, is rated by many here as the fastest growing airline from among foreign national flag carriers flying to and from Korea.

    Popularity of Emirates gained further momentum when A380 twin deck plane was put into service on Incheon-Dubai route on Dec. 14, 2009 for the first time ever in East Asia zone.

    Lee Sang-jin, who serves as its area manager in Seoul since its inception in 2005 proudly, told the WAM in a recent interview.

    Emirates Group, parent of Emirates Airline, has recently announced in its annual report for 2010-11 that its net profits surged by 51.9 percent from $964 million in the previous year to $1.5 billion when the carrier worldwide transported 31,400,00 passengers, up 4 million from a year earlier.

    “We are very proud of being staff of UAE national flag carrier which is also serving in the best interest of Incheon International Airport geared up for becoming an international hub in this part of the world,” Lee said.
