KLM introduces à la carte food option:)

Dutch carrier KLM will offer four à la carte meal options for economy passengers on intercontinental flights, following trials over the last year. The upgraded meals include Japanese, Italian and Indonesian dishes, and cost from €12 // 18 US$.

Business Traveller first reported on KLM’s decision to trial paid-for a la carte meals in economy in May last year (see online news May 25, 2010). From September 14 these will be extended across the carrier’s intercontinental routes departing Amsterdam (except flights to Toronto, San Francisco, Tel Aviv and Cairo).
