For those who are interested in such, the alleged word or phrase for the next two months is "Sugar Plum".

I hope this works for y'all.

They've been doing it for years now... at least since 2011 that I can remember. You mention the secret phrase at the front desk and you get some kind of special perk. They used to change it monthly and tweet about it. Nowadays I think they change it every couple of months.

    Still tweet about it... https://twitter.com/Kimpton/status/407682456134107136

I don't have any Kimpton stays, but I'll try it the next time I at another brand's hotel, just to see if I can confuse the heck out of them.

    "Pssst... sugar plum?"

    "Excuse me?"

    "Sugar plum"

    "Uh, what?"

    "Oh sweet sugar plum..."

"Sir, I am going to have to call my manager!"

I've had 3 stays this month so far and got several drink and continental breakfast vouchers. Good luck, nickfromct!

I'm not a Klimpton guest, but if I had to start with an elite program, it may well be my number one choice, even with its limited reach.

I do really like the Kimptons but hardly ever stay in one. Definitely a limited reach, as Kennected just said.

Taking my new Inner Circle status match out for a spin in DC this week - 3 stays/4 nights. So far, "sugar plum" has gotten a $40 food amenity, a continental breakfast voucher, and two cocktails. One stay to go. I think I'm converted for life to Kimpton!

Ok, 3rd stay a bit more lackluster. Upgrade but no suite. But still got a continental breakfast voucher in addition to the $10 mini-bar credit and IC amenity. :p I heart Kimpton.

Resort fee at Amara Sedona waived with sugarplum. BTW, great IC recognition at Amara!
