Considering it will be frigid the next few days, I am considering going somewhere with my wife and 2 kids-3 and 1...

We're looking for somewhere 60 degrees or higher and ideally driveable but we can fly if need be...

I'd rather not do a 2-3 hour flight to Florida...

Any other ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Stay in the city and go to the Museum of Science and Industry? Or fly to Memphis or Nashville?

Thats gonna be tough over the next few days. I am in Huntsville, AL, and we are going to be below freezing for several days with lows in the teens/single digits. You are going to have to travel pretty far south to escape this cold blast.

Its summer in Australia, but that's a bit more than 2 to 3 hours away.

I just looked at a weather map. Pretty much out of luck. The southeast (Atlanta for example) will be warm enough, but lots of rain. You've got to get to Southern Florida or Southern California to get warm weather in the next few days. And, considering there was snow in San Diego county a few days ago, even that is uncertain.

Go out to your local domed Holliday Inn with an enclosed pool, they had an enclosed place on Lake Shore Dive, we stayed at a few years ago,

Was not a Holiday Inn, but had a nice time...
