[Searched and can't find any posts about this... Also not sure if this should be in general miles or here, but here goes.]

I got the Chase Continental card after the merger was announced figuring it would get me 50K UA miles. All went well, and I canceled it a few months ago. A couple of weeks ago Chase sent me a targeted offer to get the same card again for another 50K miles, which I applied for, got the card, and just activated it and confirmed I am going to get another 50K CO miles after first purchase.

I thought Chase didn't allow churning, and why would they be offering a credit card for a program that is about to be terminated? Maybe they bought a bunch of CO miles that they have to get rid of?
