Time to move my money
I guess not enough unemployed banking executives were available.
He's had such a cozy relationship with Chase for a very long time. Not terribly surprising. What will be interesting to see is if Chase will again bail out the new United when the time comes.
He does have excellent connections in the region. He also has had a reputation as a good manager, despite the United issues. I rather suspect this might work out well.
United Chase Airlines....
or Chasing United Airlines (wanting repayment for loans?). Not to worry UACO will print up a billion more FF miles, just like the federal reserve. It is called the Bank of Unlimited Miles.
Good to see this one was already posted, it came up in my newsfeed during duelling keynotes from Microsoft and Apple.
And seriously, I hope we're not the only ones chuckling at the news. I remember reading all the vitriol towards Tilton during his UA stewardship - and I dare not think the nightmares that could be visited upon Chase customers with him on board.
Time for you folks across the pacific to buy bigger mattress for hiding your money under.
Given what he did to United and its employees, his title should be VP/Crappy Morale
What about the airline-wrecker John Tague? Hopefully he also leaves the business ......
Good lord.... I guess my 4 year old Pug Alice decided to decline the offer from Chase and their second choice decided to take the job..
My avatar Hershey (and my pug) also declined. He would have taken it, but he needed a nap.
Good thing I'm in the Northeast Region...
I did not think Uncle Glenn needed any more employment after how he made out like a bandit with millions from his stock options from the UA-CO merger. I guess some people just love even more money.
I think he was getting bored without another company to ruin run whilst concurrently lining his pockets and alienating the staff and crew. You have to admit, that does take some talent - wouldn't want that all to go to waste!
WOW why would the bank hire a fool?
Prior to 2004, I would say "good luck to them and the Red Sox" but now I'll say "good luck to them and the Vancouver Canucks"
Wonder how aggressive he was in cancelling the chase united debit cards.. ( just kidding, since chase changed alot of things)
I misread the thread title and thought that Gerry Gulli
or someone like that was going to Chase.
