incorrect link in error.
The link doesn't work
So only the Se's got screwed over?
Those are the reporter's words ... since we cannot see the actual article, it is hard to say what Calin said or did not say.
why fly ... can you provide us with a correct link please?
I'd like to see the actual article. I spent some time looking through calgaryherald.com, and neither today's headlines nor the search show anything like this article.
And Google only finds the same thing posted by why fly on FT.
Neither can I find the link.
Well shall see if why fly drops back in and provides the real link Until then I find the thread of little us - the clip does not provide enough information - just a taste. There had to be more to the article. I would like to see what more Calin had to say, and what if anything he had in mind for rectifying the situation as they see it.
hey I just did a copy paste from Tcook052 i cant make the link work either...
???if you can post the link do it
... and where did he post it?
... and that makes sense how?
And I don't see any postings by tcook052 on this topic, either. Especially since the story is dated 01-March.
Yes... the page comes up now, but has this in the top left hand corner.
Sorry, this story is not available.
The March 1 text is from another poster on another board and has nothing to do with the link. The link quoted by why fly was from a totally different post Sept 2009! not related to the topic at hand at all it seems.
All I can find are why fly posts here, on FT and on the junior board. He certainly was active in propagating it, but where he got the "story" no one knows at the moment.
I think the quoted March 01 is a joke and never was posted anywhere on the internet by any news source.... and now why fly is dragging poor tcook052 into it
Today is Mar 1, not April 1.
and a partial copy of that article when Calin met with SEs in YYC

Air Canada could offer direct flights to Asia from Calgary as soon as 2010, if the business community shows the airline the level of support it needs to make such a service viable.
Calin Rovinescu, Air Canada's chief executive, said Asia is among potential destinations being pondered by Canada's largest airline, but the carrier will need the business community fully on board to make it happen.
"As we start thinking of new destinations, including possible direct flights to Asia from here, we want to engage, and we will need to engage, the support of the community to make those types of flights viable," Rovinescu said Tuesday.
Rovinescu was in Calgary Tuesday as part of what will be two days of receptions and meetings with the airline's premium Super Elite customers and the business community.
with the red word replaced with to reconcile and repair relations
Total BS by the OP.
Well maybe for the OP every day is April 01 for the OP!
I think he made an honest mistake and jumped the gun.
Egg on his face? Yes.
Deliberate? Doubt it.
Looks as though why fly in his anxiety to nail AC for everything bad in aviation has once more blown his credibility, if he ever had any with regards to being objective in terms of AC.
not an auspicious way to kick off the new MP....
It appears why fly was copying InTheAirGuy's post from FT with incorrect information and then quoted tcook52's post.
If nothing else, I always recommend checking the source!
oops I guess I was to excited that Calin was more than honest about the new program
and jumped the gun!
also i thought the post was from tcook52 ??? and i had to sign up to the newspaper...
Oh well live and learn
CR will be curious to know why you emailed him tonight.....
