This was posted in the JL forum earlier today but I figured we could start a thread here to discuss any AA implications. LINK.

    • Route to start on April 12, 2012
    • Route will be blown with the newly delivered 787s
    • Starting at 4 times a week (M,W,F,Su), will increase to daily in June 2012
    • AA will add it's code to this flight, and with JBV the metal is neutral and carriers can be swapped
    • Tickets available through JL on May 28th, mid-June 2011 on AA
    • 787 will be 2 class, J and Y
Great to see JL and AA taking advantage of their JBV. I'm a big Japan flier, so the more options I have the better. I'm hopefully we will be seeing more flights added by JL & AA from other new US cities and perhaps to cities other then Tokyo in the future.

This link seems to indicate JL will operate NRT-SIN on a 787 as well. Interesting.

According to an unidentified source. So I will only treat that as rumor for now.

I read that Lucky says award space on this flight is pretty open. Might be a good way for someone with AA miles to get on a 787 flight.

Like the 2-3-2 lay out in back.

    2-3-2 in back? It's 2-4-2 in Y

C award usually is wide open this far in advance anyway :p

Typo. I'm using my iPhone.

2-4-2. I'm a fan of two seat rows. I hate when its not an option on some planes.

I've always struggled with JL award space. I'm unlucky!

I noticed since I don't get notification from you (see how your quote don't really link back to my post ;))

Well those are just C awards, not F. They aren't that hard to get if you book far in advance (like 10 months lol) and don't travel during Japanese holidays.

I'm half-Japanese so I try to travel home often. I did get two JL Y awards for two friends next month but I am flying AA when to meet them. I could do J, though F is always nice. ;)

I'll get on JL eventually. It's been 2 years since my last flight with them.
