    Albuquerque Mayor Richard J. Berryannounced Wednesday at his State of the City speech that JetBlue Airways will offer a nonstop flight from Albuquerque to New York City.
    This is the first of what officials hope will be several flights from Albuquerque by JetBlue, a low-cost carrier that competes with Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV).
    Albuquerque has not had a nonstop flight to the Big Apple since 2008, officials said.
    Talk of luring JetBlue to Albuquerque had floated around for years. The Business Weekly first reported in April that JetBlue CEO Dave Barger said service to the Duke City was a possibility.
