JetBlue Airways is offering free flights to relatives of the Connecticut school shooting victims. JetBlue announced the offer on their Facebook page on Dec. 17.

The airline said they have already been working directly with the extended family of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims and plans on continuing to do so. Making travel arrangements to a funeral for a loved one is a difficult task. Losing a loved one in a school shooting adds to the trauma considerably – especially since the majority of victims were small children. Finding a way to pay for the unexpected travel expenses is also often a hardship.

Great job jetBlue for doing this!

I read something regarding a family reaching out to jetBlue & Delta about flying some items to their family in CT for a funeral (or something to that extent) of one of the victims. I think jetBlue responded immediately and had their cargo operation help them out. Delta may have tried to get involved too but I am not positive.
