I wonder why those airports have different TSA Pre-check requirements? Do the TSA folks there hope that they can get a few free drinks and computers from those left behind by harried travelers? Or are these airports "semi-pre-check" because they just aren't as well qualified as the "full pre-check"? :(

I signed up for it and hopefully it will work for my next few flights. But man, they made it somewhat complicated, didn't they?

I don't know if there is an issue with the bar codes on paper vs. phone.

Mostly lack of space at the checkpoint to have a proper, dedicated lane for the full-service version.

They are different barcodes. The paper ones aren't digitally signed and do not include the code to trigger the PreCheck "3 beeps" needed to get the lower level of screening.

It worked just fine (at least getting the BP on the app) for my flight tonight.

FYI, the JFK PreCheck option is only staffed 6-9am because that's all the TSA will give them.

A little birdie told me that it is now working on BPs printed at the airport as well. OLCI had a snag but should be online in a few weeks.

You can still OLCI and then re-print at the airport to get the PreCheck logo if you qualify.

If you have two PAX on a PNR, do you need to use two phones?

I'm 95% sure the answer is yes.

But it also can work with BPs collected at the counter or kiosk now so that helps.

So I checked-in on my phone and only checked the box with my name. My boarding pass has the Pre-check on it. I went to her phone, logged-in to her TB account on the app, and it shows already checked-in. There isn't a way to check-in for her. There's also no way for me to check-in for her from my phone anymore. I noticed that the B6 page now says OLCI works. I checked her in from the web page, and it shows a boarding pass with the Pre-check logo on it, but I have not printed it out.

Has anyone heard that an OLCI-printed BP now works?

You can also add Charleston, SC to that list.

Seems like OLCI boarding passes now work.
