If you don't mind reading leaked internal memos anymore than you do taking them with a grain of salt, this should make for an interesting read...

According to the reports in the email and elsewhere, their choice of Viasat's Ka-Band based Exede technology is 8 times faster than existing (read Gogo) Ku-Band based stuff, so it should be interesting to see how well it performs when it comes out.

The email also details that "baseline connectivity" (email and browsing) will be free, at least on the first 30 planes.
