I hope both AmEx and Barclays continue to come up with new and competitive products. :)

I feel like all this bad news will require Amex to up its game (i.e. Loss of high end clients, loss of Costco, and loss of Jet Blur. I see the continued expansion of the Centurion Lounges as almost required at this point. But it seems like more innovation will be needed.

I am perfectly willing to switch to Barclays as long as the product is better then the Amex. The current benefit I see from Amex is the occasional rebates I get. Aside from B6 flights that the most I use my card. My Chase Sapphire is my preferred card these days.
