I have been telling you guys it will drop in Oct for a while :p Too bad I issued my ticket last week cuz I don't want to keep extending my upgrade reservation every 5 days :( If jet fuel keeps dropping, I might be able to just cancel my ticket and issue a new one in Dec and end up saving some money :p

mid 2012? you know they have discount during some periods right and it's not up to you to issue the tickets, let's see if you are "lucky" enough to clear a waitinglist right after they raise YQ again :p

If I were one of them, Simon wouldn't be allowed to join JGC or those who don't fly JAL enough will get kicked out :p

Trust me there will come a time when those upgradable fares will become so high that unless you get a double promotion, you'll start to question what you're spending your money on. You might love the airline but you don't love the prices. Heck i'm having a tough time justifying the cost of an upgradable fare given their C product isn't even flat bed but that's another story.

Let alone getting married and having children. I hear they are both cash sponges.

I have been telling you about this in the past year! You are insane to do both JGC and SFC. Now you have to spend all the upgrade points next year with the upgradable fare. I am the one who paid 2K+ (or 2x CX's cheapest price) for my ticket so go figure :p

Unless I don't plan on purchasing any revenue tickets next year.....

*Edit* honestly at the moment I've got more on my plate than purchasing tickets and that doesn't look like it will change until the market changes.... who knows when that will be.

This is good news because I was looking to book an award from NRT to HNL in J and BA.com was gonna charge me USD 247 per person for YQ.

Well I would suggest grabbing them while you can. After all it's not such a big difference. It's only 213 vs 185 per sector.
