But does it include a cute stuffed animal?
Are they still doing the Tumi kits?
Why wouldn't they?
Why weren't they in September?
Read the first post?
Doesn't really answer my question, or @VNAFlyer 's
Well can't help if you can't read/understand the full press release
The press release says why they did not have thrm previously? Somejow I doubt this.
Normally you're rather helpful, but all you seem to be bringing to this topic recently is sarcastic attitude.
And asking the obvious is being helpful? Why would a new kit rolled out on October 6 2014 be offered in September 2014?
And asking "why wouldn't they" is being helpful? Airlines are changing details of product offerings all the time and there are lots of reasons why JAL might switch their offering and stop providing the Tumi kits.
Read the bottom of the full press release. It already announced when and what the next change/TUMI kits would be. Do you have another other questions that actually not answered by the press release? Oh well if you bother reading it given both the questions were answered by the first and last parts of it.
Not really sure your motivation for being a dick here...I read the release and know full well that sometime in the spring a new kit is/was scheduled. I've also flown enough to know that plans and offerings can and do change and don't see that @VNAFlyer 's initial query is as pointless as you made it out to be - especially on an airline that does not provide amenity kits on all longhaul routes and has a recent history of not providing them at all.
I guess you certainly did not fly enough on decent carriers if you expect a change in amenity kit without an announcement or an update to its website which clearly shows TUMI kits as part of the offerings. For the record, I never said VNAFlyer was pointless so please don't put words in my mouth. I only questioned why he would think JAL stopped giving out TUMI kits. Yours on the other hand, oh well
I tend to think offering amenity kits in business on all 10+ hour flights as a minimal standard to meet, certainly for a "decent carrier", but I guess that's too high of a standard for JL.
decent enough for NH to get 5* rating from Skytrash Skytrax
I had 2 Tumi kits from my DL flights recently, not real Tumi but a slimmed down version. The zipper broke on one and I gave the other to my mom who said it looked like it would fall apart quickly !
I actually asked just to confirm, didn't realize your initial post didn't have all the details of the press release. I don't think I'll be flying any long-haul JAL routes before the switch away from the red/back kits, and was hoping someone here might have some spares they'd be willing to part with.
My parents gave me one of the olive green Tumi kits they got in August. When did they change the colors?
Suppose to be spring but that got delayed till a some time in summer.
Will they have new ones this Christmas / New Year? Wifey will be in C and F this time...
