JAL F lounges at NRT - which is better?

Discussion in 'JAL | Mileage Bank' started by Phobia, Feb 11, 2011.  |  Print Topic

  1. From what I gather, there are two JAL F lounges at NRT. As I am too lazy for lounge crawling unless I happen to have hours to kill, so I am wondering which of the two are better ones? I do not mind if one is further than the other from the gate/security etc.

Welcome to the JAL Forum, Phobia!

What time is your flight? One big difference between the two is the the one at the Satellite building stop serving dinner at 20:00 while the one continues food service till 22:00.

  3. Thanks for you response and the welcome, JALPak. My flight is at lunch time, so I guess I would like the one that serves better lunch (although I suppose I could end up risking being too full for the food on board if I did).

According to the website, the menus are identical at the two lounges! :) But if for whatever weird reason you want to go to the Sakura lounge instead, I believe only the one at the main building has real food (haven't been to the Satellite Sakura Lounge since the new F lounge opened).

KIXman can probably answer more as he has been to both F lounges I believe.

  5. Thank you once again. If the food is identical, I think I'll just go to whichever F lounge that is easier for my gate (after doing some duty free shopping!).

No problem. One of the main reasons to open a new F lounge at the Satellite building is to let you relax closer to your gate :)

By the way lunch doesn't start till 11:00. Before that you only have the breakfast menu. And boarding time is usually 30 minutes before departure. So if your flights leave at noon, you might not have much time for lunch. Below is the link to the menu. Unfortunately it is only available in Japanese.

  7. Thank you again JALPak!

My flight leaves at 12:30 so I think I'll be able to have lunch - or even a bit of breakfast followed by a bit of lunch, since I quite fancy the yuzu roast beef on the breakfast menu.

I haven't been to the satellite F yet but this is the main building F lounge. P1260494.jpg

I guess you could peek in right after immigration and see if it's crowded, and if it is then head to the other one.
Of all the lounges I've been to this is one of my favourites. Roomy, with a good view, and most importantly a great food & drink selection! :D
I hope it becomes one of your favourites too!

Oh I forgot your last NRT-MNL flight on JL was in Nov :p

You have to try out the HND one and let us know how you think while you still can! I personally like that Sakura Lounge more than NRT one.

I'll have to go to MNL later this month and maybe also next month.
I guess I'll try flying through NRT for a last hurrah while I can!

Sorry have to disagree as Int F is by far the superior lounge.
