Issues with deposit in Cancun

    I'm having issues getting my deposit back from the Hyatt Regency Cancun. I cancelled three months ago and calls to customer service have become unproductive. The hotel wants to do a wire transfer but my bank doesn't do international transfers and I don't understand why they just can return the deposit to my credit card on file....have any of you had these issues?

    I am having the SAME exact issue. Hyatt cancelled and rebooked my reservation and I got charged the deposit twice. I haven't had any luck getting it back.

    I had the EXACT same issue with the same hotel in December. Don't waste your time with the usual channels. Gold Passport (even for a Diamond) was a waste of time. Just dispute with your credit card company and let them handle it. I wasted a few weeks doing what you are doing. The Cc company fixed it immediately.

    This is the first issue I've ever had with Hyatt so I'll hold off on the lawyer's....for now :)

    Thanks for the heads up. I'll see if the concierge can resolve this. If not I'll call the credit card company.

    I hope this is an issue isolated to this hotel because I look forward to trying the two new all inclusive hotels in Mexico!!

    The all-inclusives have had amazing customer service so far to me!
