Looks like Hawaii's Island Air was sold to a yet-to-be-disclosed buyer:

Honolulu based Island Air will soon be under new ownership.
The airline has a letter of agreement for the purchase of the company and hopes the sale will go through by the end of the month.
Island Air executives say it's too early to announce who their potential buyer is, but the airline says the move means more stability and hopefully growth for the island air family.
Employees of Island Air were told today that their company is in the process of being sold.
"We're looking at getting this accomplished hopefully in the next couple of weeks, by the end of the month," says Les Murashige, Island Air President.

Maybe Larry Ellison needs transportation now that he owns Lanai.

Makes sense! Lanai needs more flights. Recently direct flights are down considerably from HNL. Also... Currently there are no direct flights from Maui to Lanai, as an example.

IMHO Lanai has massive potential as a destination. I wouldn't mind settling there for a bit.

Given that Maui was practically sold out from December to the end of January, the Hawaiian islands could probably use another island.
