I'd like to fly from Germany to the US West Coast later in the year using my FB miles.

I've never flown on an MD-11, and so I thought I would try to get on one while they're still flying. Unfortunately, the only direct option to the US is the new flight to MIA, which takes me a bit far out of my way. So I thought I might try to go via YVR or YYC, but it would be nice if I could get the transborder flight on the same ticket.

Would STR-AMS-YYC-SLC or STR-AMS-YVR-SLC be valid routings for a FB award?

MIA might work as well ... something like STR-AMS-MIA-SLC sounds legit to me. YYZ/YUL sould be fine for sure, but I don't think DL has flights to SLC from YUL?YYC.

Just did a similar revenue booking ... BSL-CDG-YYZ-ATL-BOS [IMG] Most awards follow the same rules.

    Thanks!

I've decided to go with a different strategy though. I'll try for BSL-AMS-HAV in November! [IMG]
