    I have an upcoming itinerary that takes us

    LGA->YYZ on AC, then
    YYZ->TPE->BKK on EVA, then
    BKK->CMB on TG.

    The itinerary is booked as a single Star Alliance award under one PNR.

    I have long layovers in TPE and BKK (a full day in BKK) and would rather be without the large carry-on backpacks the family will be using. Is it possible to check bags for this entire itinerary in either LGA or YYZ? If so, is it likely that the bags will arrive with us in CMB?

    If it is all on one PNR, then you should have no difficulty checking baggage through to the final destination

    As to whether the bags will arrive with you, certainly there is always a risk at each transfer point, so with multiple connections, the risk of a delay to your baggage does increase, but there's not much you can do to worry about it

    In this case, all our bags are carry-on sized. One will have to be checked since it has liquids like sunscreen that won't make it in carry-on, but we can choose whether to check them all or keep all except that one with us.
