Last year they diluted the platinum to almost everyone and this year they have increased there cash and points cost by 25%...

Even supermarkets wouldn't dare do this they shave a little and up the price a little so we don't notice.la de dah

Does anyone complain about it to spg.....

keep diluting and we will go elsewhere starwoods might claim to be the best but there is always someone else around the corner.

Give something back like 2 stays for 1 weekend night...

Otherwise it haste la vista from this mr platinum.

Starwood remains the best best for those of us who garner their points with credit card spend. They still have the best Cash and Points program out there. I'm sure they know this!

Before you "hasta la vista" you have to have a better place to go! I haven't found one yet. Doesn't mean that I'm not upset by negative changes - but I expect them and have nothing better. I have a slew of Hilton points and their recent changes are much, much worse.

Same ol', same ol'. The grass may just be greener for you over the septic tank. Be sure to let us know, please.

from my take, they are still the class of programs in many ways. I support SPG.

Honestly sounds like a DYKWIA post.

SPG might have "diluted" its product from the past, but with anything there is inflation and a greater number of players in play. (Points & users) what else do you expect.

    Yes! More upgrades for me!

And if you don't think grocery prices have gone up, or go up before holidays, you're very wrong. All those first class holiday shoppers subsidize my off-peak coach groceries. :)
