Is it impossible to get mileage bonus ticket from Asia to USA without haste?

  1. I have a plan to visit East USA in May 2011.
I checked many options with star alliance airlines but could not find any available bonus mileage seat.
    Can I get a seat?
Have I prepared the plan in 2010?
    Too sorry...

Where in Asia are you flying from? In what class? How have you tried to search so far?

You may want to try Award Nexus to explore more options.

Where are you flying from and which airline's miles will you be using?

Where are you trying to go? Where do you want to make stops at? Where are you flying out of? What miles are you using?

With only 2 posts to his/her credit, OP might have vanished.

Premium awards are actually tighter to get in C/J than in F since airlines often sell out their C/J cabins so limit award seats. F is limited for redemptions months out, but often opens within weeks of flight dates. Others on the AC forum have reported getting Asia to NAmerica seats in F closer to travel dates though we are moving into a high travel season by May. Best strategy is to seek out routes where F9 or F4 shows consistently and cross your fingers! If worse comes to worse, there's always UA via NRT in F.

I live in BKK and accumulate miles on UA. I go to the UA office here in BKK and they have always been very helpful and creative in finding C seats for me from BKK to the US. They have never failed me once. My next trip is TG to NRT, NH to ORD AND UA TO JFK. The return is UA from JFK to LAX and TG to BKK.
