Right now, he is second in line (after his father) to the throne. Let's assume, however, that Prince Chuck kicks the bucket before his mother does.

Wouldn't Prince Andrew, in that case, become the king? And if that were to happen, wouldn't his older daughter then become first in line for the crown?

(It would be particularly amusing for many, and irritating to the royal family, to see Fergie officially become the Queen Mother when Andy's daughter became queen.)

    Interesting thoughts...

A german magazine titled with "Zirkus Krone" about the royal wedding - Meaning Crown circus as a word play as Zirkus Krone is the name of the largest remaining circus enterprises.

For keeping the UK loyal to the crown it would be a great maneuver if the royals find a way for Charles "stepping back" from beeing the next king in line and handing these rights over to William. I don't know if this is possible, but it would be a great move for the future of the royals.

No multi-tasking? You can't work and watch simultaneously?

Certainly a bit unsettling as king, as prince also come to think of it. :D

Do I understand correctly that William has skipped all of the rehearsals for his own wedding? Not a good sign.

It's okay -- he has spent several years rehearsing for the honeymoon.

To tell the truth, I don't think the princess-to-be is that much of a beauty. Harry's occasional girlfriend, on the other hand...

You stay away from Harry's girlfriend, Dovster-honey. You really don't want to see how angry I can get when I am throwing a royal fit.

The answer is, unless something unfortunate happens, the blood line follow Charles' lineage... William then (currently) Harry. When William has a child, they will be the next in line after him.

If the unfortunate happens to William, Harry would be King (unless Catherine were pregnant... which would make an interesting scenario.) If something happened to Charles, William, and Harry (with no successor children,) then the line would move to Andrew.

Considering that your daughter is quite the princess, I would think you'd have a much better grasp on the rules of succession. The princess inherits the credit card, the prince inherits the Bills. That's why Bill is the Prince, even if he's only a Duke.
