If so, it was fun while it lasted.
Yes - I know a few months ago a UKBA agent told me they planned to use some sort of e-Passport scheme.
There was a recent article discussing a fast track lane for citizens of certain countries as well - http://milepoint.com/forums/threads...es-for-low-risk-countries.41996/#post-1514202
Thanks rwoman! I don't know how I feel about the fast track lane though it would clearly benefit me being an Americn citizen. It's clear that the slow track line will be filled with brown faces; something is segregationist about it.
Was so sad to see the "closed indefinitely" sign when I arrived at T3 yesterday. I'm in the no man's land of being in London on a work visa meaning there seems to be no alternative that would get me through immigration quickly without having to get my passport stamped.
Was happy to see an open IRIS line at Gatwick yesterday. ) Was able to breeze right through immigration.
Glad it's still there for those transiting LGW! I've seen the "closed" sign at LHR T3, T4, and T5. Definitely MISSED!
IRIS was open at LHR Terminal 3 this morning...made my life much easier.
That's awesome! I'm cautiously optimistic that the powers that be in London realise that IRIS is a good thing.
We tried to enroll on multiple trips though LHR during 2011 and 2012 but the office was never open. I've spent far too many hours in endless immigration queues at T5 on LHR overnights.

Per the UKBA IRIS website, it's only remaining open for the next 12 months or so and in T3 and T5. No new enrollments are being accepted.
