Except, of course, for a nice MLT - mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich, where the mutton is lean and the tomato is ripe.

great-goalie-aunt (and my godmother) made the best baklava. Hers was rolled, about 1/2 inch in diameter and about 3-4 inches long (and the best part was after the tin was empty, there was tons of honey at the bottom just waiting for your finger ;))

I'm with you ... Baklava rocks. The best I've ever had was at a little bakery on the south side of Santorini. Had to go back to the counter twice to buy more. Melt in your mouth fresh!

I LOVE good baklava. Love it and the other similar goodies from the Maroush Deli on Edgwood Road in London. On the other hand, soggy baklava . . . not so nice.

    Have fun storming the castle!

Good baklava may be up there with the greatest foods, but
bad baklava is certainly the worst.

I don't believe in superlatives, but I do believe in baklava.

In fact, it was a sign that I should move to the baklava-toting part of the world when I noticed a petrol station in Ankara selling Güllüoğlu products.
