OK, so together with my Iphone 5 I got a case from Adopted. I am not pleased with it... it looks very "cheap".... so Im looking for suggestions from folks that have on hands experience with the case(s) they have purchased for their own phones....

Im looking for a basic around the rim kind of case, no need to have screen protection.... something in the same high grade metal that the actual phone is made of would be nice.... this Adapted case is metal but its very cheap looking.....

Any leads / hints and experiences would be greatly appreciated...

    Thanks,
    Gaucho100K

Great cases for sure.... but they are very bulky. Im looking for something that is more high end design type, don't care for much protection, just want a little something to hold it in case it drops.

I have a nice Seidio Surface case - it's plastic, but very slender, no screen protection, good protection. I've been using their cases for years.

Okay so I dropped my ip5 down the space between the elevator cab and the door. You know that tiny slot at you think you might drop your keys or phone, etc. Down it went 22 floors and guess what? My iphone5 is still alive and 100% functional. Is it pretty? Eh it's kinda bent. But it works. And honestly I fully believe that my otter box saved it.

Yes the move from iP4S to iP5 (otterbox) the material has changed. Plastic is more slippery & Rubber much lower quality...

I have tried several and had the same complaint with all. Not one that in have found allows changing of sims without demounting the phone, an irritant on a plane. I have eight sims and I'm sure you have a few, so you'll probably just have to live with taht unless somebody knows a better solution.
As Pizzaman does, I now use the Incipio case which is much better than any other I have tried. Initially it is a PITA to remove both shells to change sims, and the hard one seems ready to break, but never does. Now I have no problem changing it. Thus far it has lasted more than a year with a couple nasty falls. A few days ago I dropped it on a hard marble floor as I was falling on it myself. My body has not yet recovered but the iPhone was unscathed. Obviously I need an Incipio case for myself too.
