AA had a bunch of folks, self included, out to JFK for tours and such on Tuesday. Cupcakes, too.

It is a nice layout overall. Some of my photos:

Yes, the are slimline seats in the back, but they seemed reasonably-well padded to me.

Also announced/confirmed yesterday is that the AVOD system will be freemium for coach as of 1 April 2014. Limited selection for free and most content, including movies, will carry a charge.

That looks tight for tall folks, just like the UA setup.

And how are the bins, btw? :)

Biz seats are nearly identical to the UA version so no surprise that they will be tight for taller passengers.

I tried the bin gambit twice, only to be denied both times. :(

Then it is a good thing that my first sampling of the aircraft will be in "rows 1 through 5" :D (not that I'm tall...)

Did you get to try the J bulkhead? Wondering if it s shorter with a bigger footwell as UA does or if it is truly a full legroom seat.

I didn't sit in it. Definitely a bigger footwell and I've never noticed the UA version to be shorter.

UA bulkhead one is definitely shorter, at least 1-2 inches.
