Bought VRs at a 7-11 that sells gas using ink card. Anyone know if it'll get 2x URs?
Inside usually gets coded differently than the pumps. That combined with the fact that it was a 7-11 as opposed to a generic gas station counter makes me doubt it will get the bonus.
On a side note, how do you see what Chase coded a purchase as?
I've read reports of some 7-11's being coded as grocery. The easiest way to see how your purchase was coded is to log into your chase account and look at your BLUEPRINT. You don't really know ahead of purchase. It's somewhat trial and error.
Thanks, 7-11 still pending, I'll let you know what it shows as.
I replied to your question about this in a CVS thread from last week but you may not have seen it. A recent Sapphire Preferred purchase at 7/11 was coded as gas station, and that was at a store without pumps. I think the same has happened on a Freedom card in the past but it's been so long I can't be certain. I'm hopeful it is for the Q3 bonuses. I made a purchases with both my Freedom and Ink cards over the weekend to test it out but like yours they are still pending.
I must have missed it. Seems like I'm hearing mixed reviews. I'll let you know what comes of my $1000 VR purchase over the weekend.
Thanks. And I will do the same.
Posted today as a gas station. Woohoo!! I'll be making a trip to that 7-11 (frederick MD) for the Freedom next month.
Good to hear! Mine are still pending but hopefully they'll be the same.
Mine finally posted as gas as well. I'll definitely be making several trips to my local 7-11, which luckily is about a 30 second walk from my apartment. So much more convenient than the CVS three minutes away Enjoy all your UR points!
