A very very sad story. I hope the parties find a solution which is as human as possible.

That's what I thought too, sad that such a famous hotel chain, which is owned by the King Of Thailand and such a prestigious location ie. Abu Dhabi can't properly compensate someone who was seriously injured in one of their properties, the famous Emirates Palace no less.

I find there should be better laws and a better understanding how such a case get's reported around the world and which implications this will have for the individual, country and hotel company involved, it's a real shame IMHO that there's seems to be no end to this saga for all the parties here in this case. We will see how this case develops further and there's hope for a solution coming soon, but I wouldn't bet on this.
