That's an awesome photo. It would be fun to get to see the production in person!

BKK-FRA starting September. Additional ones for BKK-LHR and BKK-SYD.

There has also been some comments about using them on regional routes before Sept. (I'd guess HKT, but there are a few other options).

Surely USM will be a good test route?

The plane looks wonderful- look forward to testing it out long-haul.

Do remember it has rather high requirements to use an airport. USM has no chance of ever seeing an a380 both due to the traffic volume and the airport (not even sure USM could handle a 747 effectively with it's 4700ft runway - for comparison HKT has 8200ft and BKK/LHR has ~12000ft). There are also other considerations due to wingspan, weight, etc.

In hindsight, HKT also seems unlikely given how many airport improvements it would require (although I suppose possible if they really wanted to) - mentioned it primarily since it's highest volume within the country. Now thinking the 'regional' is probably more of BKK-SIN/HKG/NRT.

You are right okrogius. I was joking about USM- even a 737 is tight there due to the runway. Definitely not possible for a 744.
