I personally expect Sahara of India to grow further, earlier they bought the Grosvenor House Hotel in London / managed by JW Marriott. They are also rumored to bid for a whole group of Marriott hotels which are offered by the Royal Bank of Scotland for sale. Interesting times we're in.:)

    Hmm....

Taj hotels in India are pretty much untouchable.
3 of my top hotels in the world are (and all Taj):
    Mumbai- Taj Mahal Palace
    Udaipur- Lake Palace
    Jaipur- Rambagh Palace

I particularly like the touch in Jaipur at the Rambagh Palace of eating at the fine dining restuarant with the real gold cutlery and plates. Unbelievable. I never really have bought into that whole "live like royalty" marketing that many hotels use (and I do hope royalty lives better) however in Jaipur at the Rambagh Palace it is actually true. Unbelievable.

Taj still chases Orient Express Hotels, as they want to grow worldwide outside India. Many see Taj and Orient Express a perfect fit to do just that.

Maybe they will more fully integrate into the Fairmont loyalty program under this new control owner.
