Flew DL from DFW to ATL on a 757-200 in Y. Just wondering if there is supposed to be in flight music on this type of aircraft. No music on any of the 12 channels, and yet the inflight magazine says there should be. Any thoughts or comments?

Just depends on whether the crew turned it on or not. You should have asked the crew if they would enable it.

    Did this plane have AVOD?

Plane did not have AVOD. In the end, I sent a brief, polite note to Customer Care. Within 24 hours, a received a response. My account was credited with some miles :)

Did the FAs distribute headphones (actually, the earbud thingies)? If so, I would have asked why the audio in my seat wasn't working.

Could there be a rule that the audio/video systems are only turned on during flights in excess of some specified length, either in time or miles? I thought there were rules along these lines a long time ago for most carriers, although some of the rules were obviously based on the impossibility of showing a full length movie or even short feature if there wasn't enough flight time above 10,000 feet or whatever. OTOH, I was surprised about six months ago to have the entire AVOD system available on the 777-LR for an ATL-DTW flight.

No earbuds/headphones. Brought my own. Flight was less than 2 hours. Caught up on my reading.

If the ear buds weren't supplied, it sounds like the flight wasn't planning to have music. Was there some entertainment symbol showing on delta.dumb for the flight, near where the GoGo symbol appears?

Nothing showing at all. A polite letter to Delta got me some miles ;)

Do crying infants count as music?
