I accidentally booked dates in December 2014 that should have been January 2015

So I cancelled and went to re-book IC Cairo Semiramis (shabby and empty my last 4 visits)

    Price went up 65%

No need to hurry at new price, I will be looking at Conrad, Fairmont or Four Seasons too

I checked other dates and got the same result

Then I did some test bookings in other parts of the world

My conclusion is IHG is not giving special corporate pricing in Asia, ME + Africa in 2015?

Europe and Oceania were offering corporate rates at the few I checked.

Be interested to hear from others what their findings are?

The rates for January 2015 seem to have gone up for all other rates: best available, senior rates etc...

How are the prices at your non-IHG options? Is this a seasonal thing?

Recheck rates in a month or so, too. If rates are too high now, lower bookings may motivate them to change their outlook.

This trend has been underway for most of this last year and not just in Asia. They have stopped calling certain corporate rates qualifying nights and have raised rates overall. This is happening to airline fares as well.
