    Hi delta friends
I am SO unclear about all the delta
Opt in for expedited security pass through
I was invited to opt in as a dl GM
    And I did
I called the medallion desk the other night and a med desk person told me I needed to go into tsa.gov and fill out a form to get a Number to submit to my dl profile
I set up a GOES acct but panicked and did not certify it yet
Not bring sure this was the correct procedure
    Trusted traveler?
    Vs
    The dl opt in
    Please clarify for me
I only fly delta and sky team
I'm a recreational traveler and have
Over 700k towards my mm status!
    Thanks and good tidings!!!!
    Huzzah!!!!
    Namaste
    :)

If you opt-in with Delta, you will be able to take advantage of TSA Pre-Check.

Learn more about TSA Pre-Check here: http://www.tsa.gov/what_we_do/escreening.shtm

GOES is the registration system for Global Entry, which expedites entering the US from international destinations.

I do not think it would impact anything if you have not processed the application.

You should certify GOES in order to complete the Trusted Traveler process if you want to have Global Entry (entering the US by air from anywhere), Sentri (Mexico) and/or Nexus (Canada) etc, which allow expedited border screening. TSA Pre comes automatically with these programs if you opt in. However, because you were invited by the airline you need not join with GOES unless you wish to.

In principle I'd complete GOES because it will give you access enabled or any or all of these programs. In addition soon, nobody knows exactly when, the US is to join APEC which will allow much simplified entry for 21 countries.

The interview is really a formality and is no sweat. Once completed they give you the number to enter into your profile. Since I got that I have been in the Pre line every time

As John Brundage says, the interview is a formality. Dress as you would to fly. There is no hassle at all when doing the interview.
