Not only the Interconti Berlin has taken its Interconti signs down, but also Cologne and Düsseldorf leave the brand tomorrow, April 1st.

Handelsblatt reports today, that owner "Neue Dorint" ended its realtionship with Interconti on short notice due to low income from the management contracts with Interconti group for these hotels. So while paying the lease for the building, missing income has them in the red ink. Especially Berlin did not yield the income they need for some years now.

Berlin will probably become a Hilton, Dusseldorf a Marriott and Cologne a Dorint Hotel regarding to Handelsblatt.

That leaves Interconti in Germany only with Frankfurt, Hamburg and Berchtesgaden.
