Not too great news as I liked to have a UK-based Star carrier.
I'm not all that surprised...LH has been talking about getting rid of them for a while.

Surprised Virgin has not stepped into the fray yet. IAG said they would be on an acquisition streak, they are keeping their promise!
Yes we've not heard much from Sir Richard since the IAG bid was in the news. What they are really interested in are the LHR slots!
Looks like someone else than IAG is negotiating buying BMI Regional
No LHR slots involved so the big guns are unlikely to be interested in BMI Regionals.
Could it be Eastern trying to pick it up?
Well the HQ for the potential purchaser is in Aberdeen whilst Eastern are based in Humberside so on that basis it doesn't look likely.
