If riding BART can be any parallel, it's more expensive to get off at the same station than it is to go somewhere else.

Well, due to the generally higher quality and selection, getting off at the Embarcadero is more expensive than getting off at San Leandro....

But back on topic...it would seem that SYD-Sydney will indeed yield a decent amount of elite qualifying miles:

Well, at least once a year we hear of someone getting off their flight in Sydney Nova Scotia, so maybe this is where they are going LOL. Oddly, living in London Ontario, we never hear of anyone showing up here when they wanted to go to that other London LOL.

I'm tempted, but concerned, to inquire as to what you're referring to. :D

Maybe it's like the Concorde where they took you out over the Atlantic and right back so you could say you rode the Concorde. :D

Jetstar is a low cost carrier. Do you really want to fly them so far?

I like low cost carriers. Once, in Madrid for a conference, I flew to Morocco before it (20 Euro each way, all up) and to Portugal after (also, 20 Euro).

Air Asia is a great way to hop all over the place.

Jetstar? They'll probably off-load your luggage at the Hawaii refuel ... no interlining, ya know?
