Mine gives too much personal information. Although, I guess people could use a simple search to figure it out, I'm trying to protect myself from lazy people .
I needed a change.
why have people automatically hate me? I want the pleasure of knowing people have earned that hate.
I thought my former name of ShanghaiSally was too alliterative.
You should switch to a smiling, mushy, touchy-feely avatar- just to confuse everyone.
It's killing me that I don't know who some of you are on Milepoint.
Because I can.
Because I don't live there any more.
Needed a less nerdy image.
Previous FT name was from a previous point in my travelling life where bulkhead seats were important. Today I choose never to sit in a bulkhead seat (unless up front an it is a good one ), so it made no sense to keep my previous moniker. However having crossed 1 Million Status miles with Air Canada and Air Canada Jazz, that was an important milestone for me, and something I am proud of (sore butt and all!) so I chose ACMM (not to be confused with AC_MM also on this board! )
Given what details I've been sharing over here when it comes to tricking, it'd be best if I didn't burn all my bridges on FT. (of course, I don't think I've been sharing too much, but they might see it differently)
new site = new beginning = new name
My old name had nothing to do with flying and more to do with pimping...and I wanted somewhat of a flying related name.
Also, in the event of an emergency, I wanted you all to know that I'm here for you. I will check to make sure there is no fire right outside the exit, I will open the emergency exit, I will turn the door on its side and I will throw it out as far as possible. If you are good to me, I may even share my bag of money with you.
Could not agree more! I like that idea
Share the money first. I really don't need another person that's just primarily here for my safety.
Seriously... new site, new name.
I missed the box to choose and am too lazy to ask the MP gods that be to change it..
It's just nice to start out fresh again.
Could never understand the mentality (kinda like CB radio)
where folks are ashamed or afraid to use their names
What's the point anyway (seems childish)
Ha! I remember having a CB back in the 80's. Handle was The Silver Bullet.
Says he that has a big cat yawning as an avatar
Same name here.
Just use a different one when I go slumming at FW & SD.
It is not always a matter of feeling ashamed or afraid. As I explained in another thread (about whether we should be able to change our handle on this board), it is sometimes a necessity to change one's name to protect anonymity.
You might feel differently about this if you had complained about screening practices and subsequently discovered that the government was following your posts. Personally, I feel the government knows enough about me as it is and, quite frankly, I am uncomfortable about them following me on a chat board, as well.
Very childish indeed, that's why I want everyone to know I am Ricardo Montalban!
