Hands On Education Services is a unique state-funded organization designed to prepare people with disabilities for employment in the hospitality industry through job readiness and training programs. Hands On Education focuses on young adults with intellectual and physical disabilities that affect their ability to attend traditional training programs at local community colleges or vocational/technical schools. The goal of Hands On Education is to prepare individuals for work and assist them, as needed, so that they can maintain long-term employment in inclusive and diverse environments.

Hands On Education relies heavily on its public / private partnerships with businesses like Hyatt. Over the past 14 years, the program has expanded to 20 Hyatt hotels in Florida, Texas and Washington, DC - training over 1,300 students with disabilities. In 2010, the program was embraced by three Dallas area Hyatt hotels - Hyatt Regency Dallas at Reunion, Hyatt Regency DFW, and Grand Hyatt DFW – and has since trained 90 students. Although Hyatt is not obligated to hire any of the program’s graduates, each property has hired several graduates demonstrating Hyatt's commitment to diversity, inclusion and educational advancement.

Hands On Employment Services, Inc. is the non-profit arm of Hands On Education - and all donations to this 501c3 organization are 100% tax-deductible.

We take cash (any currency). Also, for any auction you win, you can pay with a credit card when we invoice you. For spot auctions and raffles, we may have a credit card option as well. More on this shortly!
