The wife and I will often stay here before an early morning departure out of ORD. We only live about an hour north, but traffic can be horrendous, and it's usually a nice way to start off the vacation with a little extra sleep.

It's a pretty standard business Hyatt. Small lobby, small bar/restaurant located off the lobby. We typically have a glass of wine and an appetizer. Food has always been decent and the wait staff very friendly.

The hotel has been very good to us about upgrades...usually putting us in an end room that is more quiet. We were also upgraded to the Presidential suite once! See pics below!

Central control for music and HVAC...nice touch.

    Master bath.

Overall the Presidential suite is nice and spacious...certainly the PH Chicago, or a luxury hotel, but awfully nice for $89 and free parking!

I've stayed here once or twice an been upgraded to an ordinary suite which turns out to be two regular connecting rooms with a bit different furniture in the "living" room. Nothing special, ok for a night. You really need a car when staying here, there is absolutely nothing useful within walking distance.

  3. That looks great. Could you connect your laptop to the flat screen ?
I always look for that now.

How did you get that for $89, or was it a type and it cost $189 ?

    Thanks

Agreed...a car is a necessity. Since we're driving down anyhow, it's not a big deal for us to park and drive the few miles in the AM...plus there's a starbucks nearby! :)

The Hyatt in Rosemont has cheap rates quite often...we got a complimentary upgrade to the Presidential suite!

is the free parking good for the entire time you are gone?
If one is a casino person, the Des Plaines Casino is on track to open late summer of 2011 and is right across the street from the Rosemont Hyatt. I don't see cheap rates on weekends for awhile after the casino opens.

You notice in the above photos that people who can afford suites are not expected to tolerate White Ginger amenities?

I THINK it's just for the lengthy of your stay...but I would guess they have stay and fly packages.

    Agreed.

had a one night stay before our flight recently. Beds/linens were very comfortable. As a Diamond member we received free internet in room & breakfast in the restaurant. I LOVE the free parking at this property !!!!

Here is a photo of the new Rivers Casino http://playrivers.com from our room at the Rosemont Hyatt. We never heard any sounds from the Casino (I was concerned we might have been disturbed by traffic noise)

I like the news about the free parking. Wish that was a Diamond benefit! ($50 per day in SF )

    Just had a stay here.
I was put in on the 8th floor. with a view of the other foot place not the casino. From what I see it was a pretty standard Hyatt, bathroom incredibly larger then the Regency ORD.
I did a park and fly rate, I didn't know they offered free parking for staying also, I thought only the HGI down the road did for Rosemont airports. I did screw up though and parked on the first level of the parking garage when I was supposed to park on the 3rd since I was going to sit there a week, I am just hoping I don't get a ticket from Rosemont police, my understanding is that the parking garage is ran by the City.

For anyone curious it has no club, so you get breakfast downstairs. Also the room numbering system is backwards which confused me.
