    Greetings MilePoint members!

We are excited to announce plans for the Hyatt Regency Bangkok, Sukhumvit in Thailand. The hotel is expected to open in 2017, and will feature 300 guestrooms, including 26 suites, and will be part of a mixed use development that offers boutique shopping and an upscale residential tower.

The Hyatt Regency Bangkok, Sukhumvit will feature a three meal multi-cuisine restaurant, a specialty restaurant, and a bar. The hotel will also have more than 10,000 sq. ft. of contemporary meeting space, including a ballroom. Additional hotel amenities will include a six treatment room spa, a fitness center, a swimming pool, and a club lounge.

    Safe travels!

    -Nick B.

The building is currently under construction and located at Sukhumvit proper at Soi 13 between Asok and Nana BTS stations. This would make it the third Hyatt property within one mile radius in Bangkok: Grand Hyatt Erawan at Ratchprasong, the upcoming Park Hyatt at Phloenchit, and this one at Sukhumvit: http://www.hotelnewsresource.com/article67803Hyatt_Regency_Bangkok_Sukhumvit_Announced_For_____.html

5 years is way off. Seems like 1-2 years from the current state of construction. Or is the Hyatt in an upcoming build?

Although you are right about the time frame as 5-years is such a long time, my sources tell me that the Hyde Sukhumvit complex will most likely be the future home of the Hyatt Regency Sukhumvit Bangkok.

Strange enough, the Park Hyatt is being built from scratch and has not risen above ground and yet its opening day is before this Hyatt Regency!

5 years in Bangkok is a very long time. 2017? It looks like 2013 in the photos (and in real life- that building is almost finished isn't it?).
