The hotel is located approximately 2 miles east of Texas A&M University on University drive. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance (5 mins tops). Brand new Red Lobster is right outside the hotel. The whole area is newly developed with 6-7 hotels and more than 20 restaurants. There are several types of rooms at this property with either king size bed, 2 queen size beds, or 2 double size beds. The entire hotel is smoke free. Some rooms have sleeper sofas and some have armchairs instead. If you plan on having someone sleep on the sofa make sure to reserve the right type of room. You can see the description on Hyatt.com. There doesn't seem to be any price difference between the rooms so it shouldn't be a problem to change the room type at check in. Regardless of the room type all rooms are equipped with 42" flat screen TVs with various connectors enabling you to connect pretty much any type of electronic equipment to the TV. There is a small dining area/kitchenette with the one-cup coffee maker (they give you 2 cups though and enough coffee for both). Unfortunately, there is no microwave oven in the room although there is a small fridge. Bathrooms are in good shape and feature the curved shower rods (I love those). They are your average HP size - enough space to turn around but don't plan to get really comfortable in there. There is a small business center in the lobby with 2 PCs and a laser printer. Right across the hall are 2 small conference rooms. Adjacent to the front desk is the pantry where you can buy sandwiches and drinks. The breakfast is the typical HP menu with the assortment of pre-packaged cereals, 2 kinds of bread, English muffins, bagels, cream cheese, jams, fruits, etc. There is always some freshly brewed Starbucks coffee and your regular OJ, non-fat and 2% milk.
