One "catch" is that it looks like the nights have to be booked through the Hyatt.com (or Hyatt vacations) and not Mlife.com for the nights to count for the promotion. This would probably only really impact Mlife Gold and Platinum since there is a 15-20% discount on rooms for them. I'm assuming the elusive MLife Noir members get their rooms comped (which also would not count for the promotion)

<attempting to be somewhat elusive> Sadly, no, we don't get comped rooms, at least not merely by being Noir. If we were less elusive and spent more time at the gaming tables, it might be a different story.

"the payment is made directly to a participating M life resorts". I've booked via MLife but won't I be making payment directly to Vdara at the end of my stay?

totally not impressed with the promo. I'm going to Vegas in September. Booked some extra stays at lower end MLifes (requalifying for diamond). To take advantage of the promo, I'd have to cancel and rebook each of these stays. For all that, I'd get only 1,000 points.

I am a lowly platinum and I get comped rooms, etc. when I go through my casino host.

    Hi Everyone,

I am to this whole point thing :) and can't wait to get started on earning. I just got engaged and am planning a vegas wedding in April, so I am hoping to turn the atypical spending into an opportunity. Any and all suggestions are definitely welcome!

QUESTION: I know that your Hyatt Gold Passport tiers makes you eligible for Mlife tiers, e.g Hyatt Gold Platinum gets you Mlife Gold status; however, is it also true going in the other direction, e.g. Mlife Gold gets you Hyatt Gold Platinum status???

I apologize if yes is the obvious answer. I just haven't found anything that definitively stated such awesomeness.

    Cheers,
    Graham

I don't believe Hyatt offers reciprocal status match for MLife members, but it couldn't hurt to ask.

From http://www.mgmresorts.com/hyatt/ "M life Gold, Platinum and NOIR members will be eligible to opt-in to Platinum status in the Hyatt Gold Passport program." In practice, I have seen an M life NOIR member be offered Hyatt Diamond, but it's not a published benefit.

Keep in mind that HGP Platinum is a pretty useless status, and you can also obtain it merely by getting the Hyatt credit card.

I was a Hyatt Platinum and got the M life Gold last year. Now, I am a Hyatt Diamond, how can I upgrade my M life status?

As a data point, my room at Mandalay Bay booked through mLife with Plat discount did qualify for the promo.

3000 points might not be a large bonus but if you are planning on staying anyway it is a nice extra perk!
