    Enjoyed a $89.10 AARP rate which provided a $25 f/b credit.

Seems there was NOTHING going on at the McCormick Center, hence the favorable rate.

As of 2/2013 significant reno's going on, and the distances in a large, empty hotel were almost creepy.

Even without using a diamond UG, I got an upgrade to a exec suite on the 29th Floor. Recent reno's are very good. Not a true separate bedroom, but a floor to ceiling partition between the bed and living room has sizable flat screens on both sides. One side looked over the lake (awesome full moonrise upon arrival). other side looked out to downtown. A very dramatic view indeed. No club, but flatiron steak and eggs for breakfast was excellent.

Nice. Sounds like the stay was well worth the rate.
