I'm travelling to kyoto with 2 friends from high school. Would 3 women be able to share a standard room here? I'd consider the Hyatt visa if so.

I would say most likely not, but I do have limited experience at this hotel. Others may know better.

Their regular rooms are tiny, but as a Diamond I was upgraded to a no-view corner room. It has 2 beds and a separate (although no door) living area with a sectional sofa. That, I think, can accommodate 3, if the 3rd can sleep in the sofa or request a roll-away, which I am not sure they provide.

Generally speaking, however, even if there is enough physical space in the room, the Japanese Hyatts limit the number of people in the room to two unless the third is an infant.
