Someone mentioned a special rate at a DC area Hyatt also but I couldn't find that information.

Thank you Hyatt for the great rates! [IMG]

I stayed at the Park Hyatt on Tuesday and Thursday nights on their special "BLIZZ" rate of $150 and at the HR on Wednesday night for $79. They gave me an "upgraded" room (I am only a Platinum) on the 12th floor on Tuesday and on Thursday they gave me a nice corner room on the 17th floor. Both rooms faced Michigan Ave, Water Tower and Lake Michigan and it was neat to watch the snow and thunder Tuesday night and waking up on Wednesday and seeing all the snow on the ground and hardly a vehicle on Michigan Ave.
My points have not posted yet, but both hotels said that I was eligible for the G2 bonii. Let's hope that there is no issue with that. [IMG]

Those rates are sure a good way to accumulate points/stays ... I am almost wishing that we have blizzard and the subsequent rates here in Southern California so I can do a mattress run [IMG]

Rule of thumb, give it a week and if points/stays didn't post, call HGP and have them do a manual account update. Make sure you to request that all available bonus codes are plugged in for maximum benefits. A good website that tracks all available codes and rates is the Frequent Flyer Bonuses: http://www.frequentflyerbonuses.com/hyatt.html

I tried a few of the codes above, and saw no difference in price for the HR ORD..

  7. I called the HR Chicago and unfortunately their Blizzard rate is gone. I was trying for this coming Thursday the 10th for one night. "The rate was no longer available."

Keep in mind if you need to park in downtown Chicago the parking alone can range from $20 - $40 depending on where.
A $59 hotel rate that includes parking can be a real sweet deal.
