    Hello,

    some question:

after a visit in the GH Berlin some time ago (2010) the GM promised me to do something special for me for my new visit because of some problems (dirty suite [special: bathroom]/bad service) .

Im planing to visit Berlin this year again
Now there is a new GM at the GH Berlin... So what should i do?

I don´t think that the persons at check in know anything about it, when i visit it the next time.
    Greetings

I hope you got the promised 'special' in writing. Whenever I've had issues at a hotel and a mgr has offered something, I'll get in in an email to me, so that there can be no misunderstanding.

Can you locate the prior mgr somehow & have them relay the special to the new mgr?

I personally think you are out of luck. Try calling the new manager in advance and explain your situation. Maybe he will do something as good will.

If there is nothing in writing I personally would not pursue the matter. When you check in you can mention your experience, maybe they can accommodate a better room. Next time ask for points as well for your inconvenience and get his business card with something in writing. Call it a lesson learned.

It would be useful if we could generate a listing of the GM email addresses for the various Hyatt hotels

Call the hotel and ask to be connected, use Skype for low cost phone call.

Your profile at the hotel and not goldpassport account because the situation was property-specific and not a problem with their loyalty program.

Since you don't have it in writing, the best you can do is email the hotel in advance, make reference to the prior stay (dates, room number, etc, whatever you have) and recount what the then-GM offered you. If he/she is still with the chain, the new GM might reach out and contact them...or maybe not. Either way, if you ask nicely - and in advance, there's at least a decent chance you'll get some sort of dispensation.

If they blow you off, or you're not happy with their response, act with your feet and stay at a different hotel - and let them know (politely).

Let us know how it goes please. It's always helpful to understand how situations like this play out.
